Competency assessment for the Certificate III
Download your TAS Assessment Schedule for further details.
Download your Teaching and Assessment Strategy for further details.

Assessment tasks consist of a theoretical and practical component.
Each Assessment task requires completed documentation.
Without the paperwork complete and signed by student and assessor  competency cannot be awarded.

To help you organise and update your tasks all assessments are delivered by email.

A hard-copy will also be handed to students during practical assessments.

Assessment Tasks will be emailed to you by your teacher. Also, at any time you can visit http://vetentertainment.blogspot.com.au/ to download a copy of the task.

The first time the task is downloaded please rename the task using the following format:

E.g. Abraham Box.Year 11.2015.Cluster B.No1

The use of version No. at the end of the title allows you to track your documents as you make changes. Tasks not correctly renamed will not be opened and ignored by your supervisor.

When the task is completed and ready to submit, change the .Version No. to .FINAL

E.g. Abraham Box.Year 11.2015.Cluster B.FINAL

Attach the final document to a new email and send it to your supervisor.  The task will be marked, dated and signed by your supervisor, re-uploaded to the student and a copy stored to record your competency in the unit completed.

. Here are some best practices that will ensure you always have access to your assessment tasks and work records- it will save lots of headaches!

1. Open the Assessment Task from your email or download the Assessment Task  from
http://vetentertainment.blogspot.com.au/.

2. Label and save the Assessment Task
E.g. Abraham Box.Year 11.2015.Cluster B.FINAL

3. Fill in your full name, teacher's name and due dates for practical and theory components on all pages.

4. Read the Task Description and fill in the student checklist to show you have understood the requirements and procedures. If you do not  understand the task this is a good opportunity clarify points or to ask questions about the task.
The task will also be explained to you by your teacher. At the bottom of the page add a student comment, sign, date and save the document. Email the document to yourself, keep it as Version 1.

5. During the practical component you will be provided a hard copy of the task to work with. When the practical task is completed access your email, open your last version of the task, and complete the theoretical component. As required insert diagrams, pictures, notes, etc. at the end of the document.
Each time you make modifications to the task it is important to change the version number.

6. When all components of the task have been completed, save the document as FINAL and email it to your teacher. Your teacher will complete the Assessment Feedback Sheet and discuss with you the result before sign-off as Competent or Not Yet Competent.

7. A copy of the completed document will be emailed to you and another copy will be uploaded to record you have achieved competency in the unit.

If your final task needs to be modified it will be emailed back to you with FINAL.INCOMPLETE to notify you that it is not complete or additional work is needed. Read the supervisor's feedback and complete what is required. Save and resubmit as FINAL No.2
